Telangana Governor greets people on Bonalu Festival
Hyderabad, Aug 1: Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan greeted the people of the state on the eve of the Bonalu festival.
In a message, the Governor said, “I extend my heartiest wishes to the people of Telangana on the auspicious occasion of the traditional State Festival of Bonalu.
The traditional Bonalu festival celebrations are part of the rich cultural heritage of our Telangana for centuries.
While offering sacred Bonam to the presiding deity of Mahankali at temples across the State with festive fervor and gaiety, I appeal to you all to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 preventive norms and celebrate the festival in a safe and healthy manner.
I sincerely hope that Goddess Mahankali will definitely shower her blessings to help us to overcome the challenges of the pandemic.
I convey my best wishes and greetings to you all. I also pray on this auspicious occasion for the divine blessings of the Goddess Mahankali for the health, prosperity, and safety of all,” the Governor said. (UNI)
