Telangana CM to undertake nation-wide tour from Friday
Hyderabad, May 20 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will embark on a week-long Nation-wide tour from today to meet different political party leaders and participate in social programmes. During his visit, Rao will meet Political and Economic experts besides noted National media journalists. He will extend help to the families of the martyred soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. The Chief Minister will meet the bereaved families of farmers who died during the fight against the Union government for their rights. A release from Chief Minister’s office on Thursday night said, he will leave for Delhi later in the day and meet different political party leaders . Rao will meet noted economic experts and discuss about the country’s economic situation. He will hold meetings with noted National Media Journalists. On May 22, the Chief Minister will go to Chandigarh and console 600 families of farmers who laid down their lives during the nation-wide farmers agitation and distribute Rs 3 lakh cheque to each family as announced by the government earlier. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will also take part in the programme. Similarly, cheques will be given to the families of farmers who died during the agitation and belong to Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi states. On May 26, he will go to Bengaluru, where he will meet former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda. He will go to Ralegan Siddhi from Bengaluru on May 27 and will meet noted social activist Anna Hazare. From there , he will go to Shirdi and offer prayers to Sai Baba. From Shirdi, he will complete the tour and will return to Hyderabad. Thereafter, Rao will visit West Bengal and Bihar on May 29 and 30 . He will console the families of the martyred soldiers at Galwan Valley. As announced earlier, the Chief Minister will extend assistance to the families of martyred soldiers, the release added.(UNI)
