Telangana CM honors the lifeless remains of Archbishop Thumma Bala
HYDERABAD, MAY 31 : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday paid tributes to the mortal remains of Archbishop Thumma Bala at St. Mary’s School, Secunderabad.
Archbishop Thumma Bala (80) passed away at Karuna Puram, Warangal on Thursday due to age-related ailments. He was visiting his sister in Karuna Puram when he breathed his last. Archbishop Thumma Bala served as the Archbishop of Hyderabad from 2011 to 2020 and as the Bishop of Warangal from 1987 to 2011.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that Archbishop Thumma Bala rendered significant services in building a strong society. He spread the message of peace and religious harmony and provided education to the needy.
“I have a special personal affinity with the departed Thumma Bala,” the Chief Minister said. “The Archbishop blessed me with his good heart during the 2019 Lok Sabha election and the 2023 Assembly election. With his blessings, a people’s government has been formed in Telangana State.”
The death of Archbishop Thumma Bala has left his followers in deep grief. The Chief Minister acknowledged the widespread appreciation for the Archbishop’s services and urged everyone to move forward inspired by the Archbishop’s revered message.(UNI)
