Telangana Chief Minister condemns attack on Medak MP
KAMAREDDY (TELANGANA), OCT 30 : Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on Monday expressed strong condemnation regarding the vicious attack on Medak MP and Dubbaka BRS candidate Prabhakar Reddy.
Prabhakar Reddy was subjected to a brutal knife attack by an unidentified assailant during his election campaign in Surampalli village, Doultabad Mandal in this district today.
Speaking at an election campaign event held in Banswada, KCR made it clear that this attack was an assault on him as well.
He conveyed, “I am not in good health. I have not harmed anyone. The opposition harbors ill intentions. Lacking the courage to face the election, they have resorted to violence. If we were to follow the same path, where would it lead us? If they do not restrain themselves, we will not hesitate to respond in kind.”
KCR went on to emphasize the importance of maintaining a positive political atmosphere, stating, “If Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy secures victory in the Telangana assembly election to be held on November 30, he will continue to hold a prominent position. Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, once referred to as ‘Lakshmi Putrudu,’ has witnessed more development in Banswada than any other constituency. Per capita income reflects this development, and currently, Telangana stands as the state with the highest per capita income in the nation. Consequently, Banswada has evolved into a valuable asset.”
KCR assured that ongoing development efforts would be highly beneficial for the region, adding, “I will remain committed to secular practices for as long as I live. We are dedicated to establishing an Urdu junior and degree college.”(UNI)
