TDP’s Telangana unit president resigns from post

Hyderabad, July 9: Telugu Desam Party’s Telangana unit president L Ramana has resigned from the post.
He sent his resignation letter to TDP’s national president N Chandrababu Naidu thanking the latter for his guidance and support during his 30 years of a political career.
Mr. Ramana said that he has decided to join the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi as he was attracted by the welfare and development works undertaken by the TRS government.
During his meeting with TRS head and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday, Mr. Rao assured Mr. Ramana that due recognition would be given to him.
Mr. Rao asked Mr. Ramana to take part in the welfare programs being undertaken by the state government for the welfare of the backward classes and strive to achieve social Telangana.
According to sources, Mr. Ramana may join the TRS in a couple of days. (UNI)
