Mumbai, Sep 23: For the third consecutive day, the stock market opened in green territory on Wednesday with BSE Sensex trading at 59,355.83, up 428.50 or 0.73 percent today.

Similarly, Nifty was trading at 17,649.25, up 102.60 or 0.58 percent.

Among the pack of 30 stocks at BSE, Axis Bank, Tata Steel, SBI, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, Reliance were among the top gainers while Tech Mahindra, Titan, Asian Paint, and TCS were among the top draggers.

On Wednesday, the market had closed in red, with Sensex shedding around 78 points and Nifty 15.35 points.

After a choppy session, the 30 share BSE Index had lost 77.94 points or 0.13 percent at 58,927.33 while NSE Nifty slipped 15.35 points or 0.09 percent to 17,546.65. (UNI)
