South India’s BJP enters a new era under Dharmendra Pradhan
HYDERABAD, JULY 12 : Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that a new era has begun for the BJP in South India.
Speaking to the media after participating as the chief guest at the Telangana BJP Executive Meeting in Shamshabad on Friday, Pradhan highlighted the significant achievements of the party.
Pradhan noted that with the efforts of many activists across the country, the NDA government was formed for the third time under the leadership of Narendra Modi. He mentioned that in the 2023 assembly elections in Telangana, the BJP garnered about 14 percent of the votes, which increased to 35 percent in the recent elections.
“People who won in 8 assembly constituencies in the past have also secured 8 seats in the parliamentary elections this time,” Pradhan said. He emphasized that the BJP has become stronger in South India, making significant inroads in Kerala and achieving a better vote bank in Tamil Nadu.
Pradhan announced a 1500-day plan to make the BJP the number one party in Telangana. He criticized the Congress for not crossing 100 seats in the parliamentary elections and for its unchanged attitude, despite repeated defeats.
He assured that as long as the NDA is in power, there is no question of changing the constitution or reservations. He accused the Congress government in Telangana of being anti-Hindu and claimed that the BJP has always supported the formation of a separate Telangana.
Pradhan condemned the BRS rule, claiming that one family destroyed the state over the last ten years. He asserted that the central government has consistently supported the development of Telangana and that the BJP is committed to this cause.
He urged leaders and activists to work hard at the polling booth level to strengthen the BJP in Telangana.
He emphasized the importance of addressing the welfare of youth, women, farmers, and the poor, and called for a determined fight against corruption and irregularities during Congress rule.
Pradhan expressed confidence that a common worker could become the Chief Minister in Telangana in the coming days. “ Formation of BJP government in Telangana is not for posts…it is for development of people of Telangana”, he added.(UNI)
