DAMASCUS, AUG 23 : The sounds of explosions are heard in the center of Damascus as Syrian air defenses fire on air targets, a Sputnik correspondent reported.

Sounds of explosions were heard in the sky above the Syrian capital. Air defense systems were also seen working on air targets in the sky above Damascus.

Later, the Syrian state news agency reported that Syrian air defense forces were repelling Israeli attacks in the suburbs of Damascus.(UNI)
