Six workers of aqua farm killed in fire mishap
Guntur, Jul 30 : Six persons working at an aqua farm were killed in a fire accident which took place after midnight at Lankevanidebba village in Repalle mandal in the district.
The bodies were charred beyond recognition. District Superintendent of police Vishan Gunni
and other officials visited the spot on Friday.
The SP told the media that the deceased belonged to Rayagada district of Odisha state. He said that some chemicals, including bleaching powder, were stocked in the room where they slept. As per the prima facie report, fire broke out in the room accidentally killing the six instantaneously.
The SP said that the owner and the manager of the aqua farm were held and being questioned.
A case was registered and the investigation was entrusted to the DSP of Bapatla.
The deceased were identified as Rama Murthy, Kiran, Monoj, Pandabo, Mahendra and Nivin. The bodies were
shifted to the government hospital in Repalle for post-mortem.(UNI)
