Puducherry,Mar 15: Election flying squad on Sunday night seized silk sarees worth Rs.8 lakhs from a house at Reddiarpalayam here which was kept to distribute to voters to lure them.
According to police, a flying squad got a call on its toll free number that silk sarees were stored in a house following which a raid was conducted and the sares seized.
The squad seized 30 bundles each containing 50 silk sarees worth Rs.8 lakh from the house of one Suresh, a BJp activist.
The seized sares were handed over to the reddiyarpalayam police which is investigating.(UNI)
