Bengaluru, May 3 : Holding the ruling BJP government headed by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa responsible for death of 24 people for want of oxygen, leader of the opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah on Monday demanded resignation of Yediyurappa and Health Minister Sudhkar owing the moral responsibility.

In a series of tweets, he said it was sheer negligence of the state government to provide oxygen to the hospitals.

This is a very serious and inhuman situation, no more evidence is required now to prove the state’s governance has completely collapsed. How many more innocent people must fall prey to BJP’s lust for power, he questioned.

This incident must be probed by a panel headed by a retired high court judge, he added.

In another tweet he said, SOS coming from Rajarajeshwari Hospital & Medax Hospital about oxygen being exhausted in the next one hour in the Bengaluru city. I urge the Chief Minister to look into the issue & supply oxygen to save lives.(UNI)
