Show sensitivity while doing ‘panchnama’ of damaged crops in Palghar, Shelar to authorities
Palghar, May 20 : BJP leader and MLA Ashish Shelar Today instructed the authorities that they should show sensitivity to farmers of the district while doing ‘panchnama’ of their damaged crops.
Cyclone Tauktae has caused immense damage to the farmers producing chikoo, mango, banana, chilli and vegetables in Dahanu area as well as the fishermen in the district. Also, their houses were damaged.
Mr Shelar and MLA Manisha Chaudhary are visiting the coastal district for two days to meet farmers and fishermen and assess the damage suffered by them due to the cyclone.
They told him that they have not yet received any special assistance from the state government.
During his tour, he instructed officers to do the ‘panchnama’ of damaged crops and other things sensitively and give the true picture on the paper so that farmers will get adequate help.
“We will raise this issue in assembly and with the central government too if needed,” Mr Shelar added and assured that the party is with farmers.(UNI)
