Should a few party leaders depart, nothing will happen: KCR

HYDERABAD, JUNE 25 :  Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) reassured party leaders on Tuesday that the departure of some leaders will not affect the party.

During a meeting with party leaders and MLAs at his farmhouse in Erravalli village, Gajwel, Siddipet district, KCR addressed recent developments within the party. He reminded attendees that similar situations occurred during the reign of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and they were not deterred, party sources said.

Speaking about former Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, KCR suggested that too much attention should not be given to leaders changing parties.

He emphasised that the BRS will not suffer losses just because some MLAs decide to switch parties. He also mentioned that meetings with MLAs and MLCs will commence tomorrow.

KCR accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of failing to implement promises made to the people and criticised the current state of law and order in Telangana. However, he expressed optimism about the party’s future.

BRS MLAs Harish Rao, Vemula Prashant Reddy, KP Vivekananda Goud, Maganti Gopinath, Mutha Gopal, Madhavaram Krishna Rao, Arikepudi Gandhi, MLCs Sheri Subhash Reddy, Dande Vithal, former MLAs Jogu Ramanna, and leaders Kyama Mallesh and Ravula Sridhar Reddy, among others, participated in the meeting.(UNI)
