Hyderabad, April 5:Severe heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in many places in the district of Guntur, Prakasam, and Nellore of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP) in the next 48 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Monday.
In a bulletin here, it also said that heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in the districts of Nellore and Prakasam of SCAP during the next five days.
Heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated places of Chittoor district of Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours, while maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in Rayalaseema during the next three days.
Thunderstorm with gusty winds of speeds 40-50 kmph along with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam (NCAP &) Yanam during the next three days and on April 9.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places all over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the same period.
The Highest maximum temperature of 40.8 degrees Celsius and 40.5 degrees Celsius were recorded at Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, Medak of Telangana, and Kurnool of Rayalaseema on Sunday, the bulletin said.
The highest maximum and minimum temperatures of 39.2 degrees Celsius and 25.1 degrees Celsius were recorded in Hyderabad yesterday. (UNI)
