Several parts of Hyderabad city are battered by heavy rain.
HYDERABAD, MAY 16 : Heavy rainfall was experienced across many parts of the city on Thursday evening, causing a sudden change in weather conditions.
The downpour affected various areas including Gachibowli, Kukatpally, Nizampet, Hydernagar, Bachupally, Bowinpally, Maredpally, Begumpet, Paradise, Chalakalaguda, Alwal, Jawaharnagar, Malkajgiri, Nerademet, Nagaram, Quthbullapur, Chintal, Shapurnagar, Gajularamaram, Bahadurpalli, Suraram, Shekpet, Rayagurgam, Panjagutta, Borabanda, Rehmathnagar, Uppal, as well as Jubilee Hills, Filmnagar, Karmanghat, Champapet, LB Nagar, and Nagole. Surrounding areas such as Dilsukhnagar, Chaitanyapuri, Saidabad, Santoshnagar, and Malakpet were also affected.
The heavy rainfall led to water stagnation on roads, causing inconvenience to commuters.
The Meteorological Department has forecasted that the rainfall, which has already hit many parts of Hyderabad, is expected to expand across the entire city shortly. Additionally, there is a likelihood of rainfall in all districts of Telangana in the coming hours, according to the Meteorological Department officials.(UNI)
