SEC decides to conduct re-polling in 45 booths on Feb 23
Bhubaneswar, Feb 19 : Odisha State Election Commission (SEC) Today decided to conduct re-polling on February 23 next in 45 booths where elections to three tier PRI was disrupted due to various reasons during the first and second phase of election held on February 16 and 18 respectively. The re-polling will be conducted from 9 AM to 3 PM amid tight security. SEC sources said polling was disrupted in 25 booths during the first phase of election on February 16 and in 20 booths during the second phase of elections on February 18. The 25 booths where re-polling will be held included four booths in Bhadrak block and one in Banta block of Bhdrak district, four booths in Gandhia block of Dhenkanal district, nine in Jajpur block and two in Dharamshala block of Jajpur district, three in Kanas block, one in Krushna Prasad block and one in Brahmagiri block of Puri district. Re-polling would also be held in one booth in Chandbali block of Bhadrak district, one in Boudh block of Boudh district, one in Loisingha block of Bolangir district, three in Jagatsinghpur block, ten in Dasrathpur block of Jajpur district, one in Telkoi block of Keonjhar district, one in Kaptipada block and two in Suliapada block of Mayurbhanja district where the election was disrupted during the second phase on February 18 last.
