Hyderabad, Mar 5: Mr Sameer Goel, Managing Director, Coromandel International Limited, was elected as the Chairman of CII Telangana for the year 2021-22 at its Annual meeting held here on Friday.  

Before joining Coromandel , Mr Goel had a brief stint in Cipla as a Country Head ? India.

He started his career with Glaxo Smith Kline Consumer in India in 1987 and worked in various positions in general management, sales and marketing across geographies and businesses both in India and International markets.

Mr Goel’s last assignment was Vice President, GSK-CH for Sub-Sahara Africa.

The new CII Telangana Chairman  holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Stephens College, New Delhi.

Mr. Vagish Dixit, Managing Director, ALPLA India is elected as the vice Chairman of CII Telangana for the year 2021-22.

He  is  the Chief Engagement Officer of ALPLA Worldwide, Partner and Managing Director of ALPLA Group in India.

Apart from this, he has recently been appointed as Honorary Consul for Austria for the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.  

Apart from his passion for business, Mr. Dixit is also very active in social service. He was the President for Round Table India, a fellowship and charity organization of young professionals and also headed the World Council of Service Clubs as their Secretary General for three years.

Mr Dixit is also a member of Young Presidents Organization, a global leadership forum of business leaders.

He is currently the Chairman of YPO Gold South Asia and the Chairman of Indian Institute of Packaging, Hyderabad and a member of the Governing council of IIP, India.(UNI)
