Hyderabad, Nov 19 : Just after Prime Minister’s announcement to repeal the controversial three farm laws, TRS working President and Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao Today said “The power of people is always greater than the people in power”.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Rao said ‘Proved once again by the Indian farmers who got what they demanded by their relentless agitation’. Jai Kisan Jai Jawan.

‘A historic victory for our farmers.’’ My humble tributes to the martyrs for their supreme sacrifice’, TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha also said on social media platform Twitter while reacting to withdrawal of the three contentious farm laws announced by the Prime Minister.

To bring pressure on the Centre to buy paddy from farmers and to clarify its stand on the issue, the ruling TRS, led by its President and Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday observed a massive Maha Dharna at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park in the city.

Speaking at the agitation camp, the Chief Minister thundered that his party’s agitation was not the end but the beginning of the struggle for farmers’ cause and his party would take the lead against ‘anti- farmer’ policies’ of the Centre as and when required.(UNI)
