Renowned Telugu linguist Ranganadhacharyulu passes away

Hyderabad, May 16 : Noted Telugu linguist and literary critic professor KK Ranganadhacharyulu succumbed to Covid-19 while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here on Saturday night.
He was 80 and he is survived by his wife and a son and a daughter.
A multi-faceted and popular personality in Telugu literary world, Ranganathacharyulu taught linguistics at the University of Hyderabad and guided several scholars in researching various topics in Telugu literature.
He had researched in Telugu and Sanskrit languages and also served as the principal of the Andhra Saraswati Parishad Oriental faculty.
Not solely literary critics but in addition literary historians and literary actions.
He was one of many fourteen signatories to the Declaration of Boredom on July 4, 1970, as ‘Ranganatham’. Ranganathacharyulu wrote many books.
Eminent authors and others besides University of Hyderabad mourned his demise.
Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao in a message condoled the death of well-known Linguist and professor K K Ranganadhacharyulu who made rich contributions to the development of Telugu language and literature.
The CM recalled the services rendered by Prof Ranganadhacharyulu, who worked in several capacities and also as Critic, teacher and Research guide.
The CM conveyed his condolences to members of the bereaved family.(UNI)
