Regarding the ‘note for vote’ case against Revanth, Zaffar Islam questions KCR’s silence.

HYDERABAD, NOV 1 : BJP National Spokesperson and former MP, Zaffar Islam, expressed his curiosity about why BRS President and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) remained silent in the ‘Note for Vote’ case involving Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President A. Revanth Reddy.

He questioned what had prevented KCR from taking action in the matter.

Zaffar Islam accused that this silence exemplified a tacit understanding between the BRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) and Congress, portraying them as partners in corruption within the state.

During a press conference at the party office on Wednesday, Zaffar Islam remarked that AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen) had been influencing both Congress and BRS in their actions.

He suggested that these parties were essentially two sides of the same coin, putting on a charade of opposing each other with exaggerated allegations to deceive the people. Zaffar Islam described all these parties as family-centric, with the primary goal of protecting their respective families.

He also questioned whether AICC General Secretary and senior party leader Rahul Gandhi was unaware of KCR’s history, as KCR had served in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his first term. Zaffar Islam ridiculed Rahul Gandhi’s statement that they would recover the Rs. 1 lakh crore from KCR for his alleged corruption in the Kaleshwaram project.

Regarding the Congress’s rule between 2004 and 2014, the BJP spokesperson claimed that massive corruption had occurred during that period.

Zaffar Islam asserted that both the BRS and Congress had a pre-election understanding, with Congress providing the necessary support to the BRS in the past, as seen in the 2014 and 2018 elections. He mentioned that Congress MLAs had joined the BRS during both of these terms of KCR’s leadership.(UNI)
