Mumbai, Jan 26 :Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda took to Twitter to congratulate Virat, the handsome black horse of the President’s Bodyguard, on his retirement. The noble steed has served in over 13 Republic Day parades. The elite horse was the mount of President’s Bodyguard Commandant Colonel Anup Tiwari and was retired today after receiving the Chief Of Army Staff’s commendation for his service. The horse was personally thanked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for his years of exceptional service. The actor posted two pictures of the gallant horse, including one showing the horse being patted affectionately by the Prime Minister, and tweeted: “Happy retired life Virat .. the commandment’s charger from the President’s Bodyguard retired today after receiving the Chief of Army Staff commendation today .. he participated in 13 #RepublicDay parades .. salute !!.(UNI)
