Ramanachari inaugurates photo exhibition on 75 years of India’s Independence
Hyderabad, April 10: Telangana Government Advisor K V Ramanachari on Friday inaugurated a week-long photo exhibition on 75 years of India’s Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) organized by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Language & Culture, Government of Telangana at State Gallery of Art, Madhapur here.
The aim of the Photo Exhibition is to remind the citizens of the value of freedom and the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to secure the future of the nation. This photo exhibition is part of a series of programs organized in the form of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav throughout the country.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Ramanachari said this exhibition is giving us a chance to know about our freedom fighters. The student world and the younger generation can draw inspiration from this photo exhibition. The achievements of 75 years of independence can be recalled from Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, he added.
Mr. S Venkateshwar, Director General, Press Information Bureau said rare pictures have been brought from Delhi Photo Division and appealed to everyone to visit the photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Mr. Srinivasa Raju, Secretary, Telangana Tourism and Culture said that we have the opportunity to see the rarest photographs and the exhibition will last for 7 days. The rarest pictures can be seen in the exhibition.
Mr. Mamidi Harikrishna, Director, Culture, said that a photo exhibition has been organized with important events in 75 years of our independence. The Government of India has taken a decision to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence, these celebrations will be held for 75 weeks, he added. (UNI)
