Rama Rao assures to take responsibility to provide house sites to all the journalists in Telangana
Hyderabad, Mar 7 : Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao on Sunday assured that he will take personal responsibility to provide houses sites to all the journalists in the state.
Speaking as a Chief Guest at a meeting organized by the Union of Working Journalists at Jala Vihar here, Mr Rao who recalling earlier incidents of statehood movements said that the TRS party has a close relationship with the Journalists, employees, lawyers in the state.
He assured to provide education to the journalist’s children in the Residential Schools.
Mr Rao said that the state government has created Journalists Welfare Fund with Rs 100 crore and extended financial assistance of Rs one lakh to 260 journalist’s families after the death of journalists. No one state is providing such a facility for the journalists in the country.
Only Telangana in the country has extended its helping hand to 1950 journalists when they affected with the COVID-19, the Minister assured to introduce good health scheme to the journalists. He also assured to provide a building to the Journalists Union with all the facilities.
Asking help from the journalists in the MLC elections, Mr Rao said the state government has created 1.33 lakh jobs after assuming power.
While referring opposition parties criticism, Mr Rao said,” Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is better than others in the criticism. We are also able to criticize Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and others. But we are giving respect to their age and status”,
“There is no space for T Congress and T BJP without separate statehood of Telangana”, he added. (UNI)
