Rajasthan records max temp

Pune, May 26 : The highest maximum temperature of 43.6°C was reported at Phalodi over the plains of the country.
Conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Maldives-Comorin area and southwest and eastcentral Bay of Bengal; some parts of westcentral Bay of Bengal and entire southeast Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Saurashtra and Kutch.
They were markedly below normal (-5.1°C or less) at most places over Bihar and Jharkhand; at many place coastal Odisha; at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal; appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at many places over east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh; at a few places over north interior Karnataka; at isolated places over rest Odisha, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at many places over east Uttar Pradesh, northwest Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; at a few places over east Madhya Pradesh and south interior Karnataka; at isolated places over west Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Gujarat Region, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, rest Rayalaseema and near normal over rest parts of the country.
Thunderstorm observed (from 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST today) at isolated places over west Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, coastal and south interior Karnataka and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Bihar, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Jammu-Kasmir and Ladakh, west Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Marathwada and Telangana.(UNI)
