Pune, July 29 : Thunderstorm observed (from 1730 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today) at a few places over Assam and Meghalaya; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gangetic West Bengal, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
The southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Haryana and Punjab and active over Gangetic West Bengal, west Uttar Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. It has been subdued over Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kasmir and Ladakh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at a few places in west Rajasthan, east Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.(UNI)
