SULTANPUR (UP), JULY 26 : Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday stopped at a cobbler’s shop and stitched shoes and slippers in his style and enquired about his well-being while returning to Lucknow after appearing in a an MP-MLA court in Sultanpur in a defamation case.

The cobbler welcomed the Leader of Opposition by offering him a cold drink.
Ragul had come to Sultanpur to record his statement in a defamation case in the MP-MLA court. After completing the court proceedings, Rahul again left for Lucknow via Purvanchal Expressway.

Before Purvanchal Expressway, his convoy suddenly stopped near Vidhayak Nagar intersection under Kurebhar police station on Ayodhya Prayagraj Highway and he got down from his vehicle and reached Ramchet cobbler’s shop and sat next to him.

He enquired about his well-being. Along with this, he also learned from Ramchet how shoes and slippers are repaired and stitched some of them himself.

Ramchet was overwhelmed to see Rahul among him. At first, he could not believe that the Congress leader was sitting at his kiosk and stitching slippers like him. After this, to welcome him, Ramchet ordered a cold drink for Rahul.(UNI)
