CHANDIGARH, OCT 21:The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday quashed over a thousand First Information Reports (FIR) filed in the states of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh UT for the alleged violations during Covid-19 Pandemic Lockdown period four years back.

The High Court observed that those were the times when strict rules were in place to save lives and most of the people were following the rules. However, such a situation could have arrived, wherein people were forced to break the rules like to arrange medicines and food for the family members.
