Pune, Sep 2 : Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari Friday said the bridge at Chandni Chowk Pune, which is causing traffic problems in Pune, will be demolished in the next two to three days. This bridge in Chandni Chowk is 30 meters long.

Gadkari also said explosives will be used to demolish the bridge like the twin towers.

Gadkari is on a visit to Pune since Thursday. Gadkari inspected the bridge at Chandni Chowk this morning after having darshan of famous Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati late at night. After the inspection, he interacted with the media Friday.

The tender of Chandni Chowk flyover was published in 2019. The Nine personal properties were to be acquired, the Seven properties were acquired out of them so far.We have given Instructions to the District Collector to acquire two properties, he added.

Gadkari also said if everything is done in time, we will inaugurate the flyover in June, 2023. State Higher education Minister Chandrakant Patil, district collector Rajesh Deshmukh, Pimpri Chinchwad CP Ankush Shinde, former mayor Murlidhar Mohol and BJP Spokesperson Sandeep Khardekar were present on the occasion.(UNI)
