Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 7 : Queen of Indian track and field PT Usha Today requested Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to vaccinate sports persons who will participate in the forth coming National and other competition on priority.
In a twitter message, PT Usha, who was also nicknamed ‘Payyoli Express, said “A humble request to @CMOKerala to vaccinate sports persons, their coaches, support staff & medical team, who will participate in the forth coming National & other competition on priority. We just can’t ignore sports section!”
The 56-year-old sprint legend, who won 11 medals in the Asian Games, including four gold in the 1986 edition, requested to vaccinate athletes in the state to ensure their participation in the upcoming National Inter-State Championships, an Olympic qualifying event to be held from June 25 to 29.(UNI)
