PSIs asked to use modern technologies in prevention, detention of crime
Srinagar, Feb 27 :Emphasizing the need of utilization of modern technologies in preventing and detecting of crimes, a senior officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) asked Police Sub Inspectors (PSIs) to utilize their academic knowledge and improve their skills to become best officer of the extended police family.
A police spokesman said that Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Srinagar, Dr M Haseeb Mughal held a introductory meeting on Friday with the newly adjusted PSIs in the district, who have to undergo their mandatory probation of two years.
The introduction was aimed to acclimatize the PSIs of the basis principles and guidelines about their probation, the thrust areas where they need to focus more and the general working of the district police especially in context with the Srinagar police.
SSP emphasized the need of modern technologies and utilization thereof in prevention and detection of crime and in investigation of crime especially Cyber Crime, Bank Frauds, OTP Frauds, Online Lottery Frauds, White Collar Crimes, Interstate Crimes, Hawala Transactions and more.
PSIs were briefed about the domain of police working, role of a police officer in our society, the proactive approach in assisting the public, abiding the laws, rules and regulations, utilization of probation period as a life time experience.
The PSIs were asked to utilize their academic knowledge and improve their skills to become best officers of the extended family of J&K Police. (UNI)
