Lucknow, Nov 10 : Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Today announced that a monthly honorarium of Rs 10,000 will be given to Asha sisters and Anganwadi workers, after her party comes to power in Uttar Pradesh.

Condemning the police crackdown on the protesting ASHA workers in Shahjahanpur, Priyanka tweeted, “Every single attack on Asha sisters by the UP government is an insult to the work done by them. My Asha sisters have given their services diligently during Novel Coronavirus and on other occasions. An honorarium is their right. It is the duty of the government to listen to them.”

She said the grand old party is committed to providing honours to Asha workers and if the Congress government is formed, Asha sisters and Anganwadi workers will be given an honorarium of Rs 10,000 per month.(UNI)
