Thane, Oct 16 : President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday mourned the death of former Thane MLA and senior Congress leader Kanti Koli.

In a condolence message to Koli’s family, the President said, he was sorry to learn about the death of Koli, who made social service as his prime motive in his life.

Koli, 76, died of protracted illness on Thursday night at his residence in Thane.

His funeral was held on Friday evening here at the Jawahar Baug crematorium.(UNI)
