Pre-event meeting for Bengaluru Tech Summit is opened by Karnataka CM

BENGALURU, JULY 12 :  Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday inaugurated a pre-event breakfast meeting for the upcoming Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) at a private hotel in the city.

The BTS, a flagship initiative of the Karnataka government, has been a cornerstone of the state’s commitment to technology and innovation for the past 26 years.

Siddaramaiah, said, “The Bengaluru Tech Summit from November 19 to 21 this year acts as an essential platform that gathers the leading minds in technology and innovation. We’re looking forward to making Karnataka the foremost state in this field and welcome your ideas and active involvement to help make BTS 2024 a success.”

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar also spoke at the event, highlighting Bengaluru’s significant role on the world stage. He said, “Bengaluru represents India on the global stage. Our government is focused on advancing the city. It’s vital for entrepreneurs and employees to stay in Bengaluru instead of relocating to nearby states.

Karnataka is open to people from around the world, which fosters both entrepreneurial success and job opportunities, enhancing our economic strength.”

Highlighting the population growth in Bengaluru, which has seen approximately 1.4 crore residents from all over India, Shivakumar stressed the need to alleviate pressure on the city.

“Considering the significant population growth in Bengaluru, with around 1.4 crore residents from across India, we need to address the pressures on the city. It’s important to create conditions that support industrial development throughout the state, and I propose using roughly Rs 8,000 crore from CSR funds for rural education,” he said.(UNI)
