Malappuram, Mar 15 : The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has given the charge of state general secretary to senior leader P N A Salam

This arrangement has been made in view of the present general secretary K P A Majeed contesting from Thirurangadi constituency.

Talking to the media on Monday, the party president Panakkad Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal said the arrangement has been made to facilitate Majeed to fully engage with campaign. K P A Majeed is contesting from Thirurangadi.

The party has nominated Abdurahiman Randathani as its candidate for Punalur constituency.

The declaration of its candidate for the Perambra constituency has been deferred to a later date.

The party, a coalition partner in the Congress-led UDF, had on Friday last announced candidates for 25 constituencies out of 27 allotted to the party.(UNI)
