PM Modi will speak at two Hyderabad public gatherings.
HYDERABAD, NOV 4 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address two public meetings in Hyderabad, the capital of poll-bound-Telangana, on November 7 and 11, K Laxman, BJP Rajya Sabha member and All India President of OBC Morcha, said on Saturday.
The first meeting, BC Atma Gourava Sabha, will be held at LB Stadium, while the second is a public gathering at Parade Grounds on November 11, focusing on the categorization issue raised by the Madiga community.
BC Atma Gourava Sabha aims to affirm Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement that a BC will be made Chief Minister after the BJP comes to power in Telangana.
Addressing a press conference here, Laxman expressed confidence that the BJP, if given the opportunity, can appoint a BC Chief Minister for Telangana, a feat other parties have never dared to imagine. He noted that BCs are stepping forward to support BJP candidates across the state, demonstrating their strength.
Dr Laxman criticized the Congress for its inability to accept Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement regarding a BC Chief Minister. He also challenged AICC leader Rahul Gandhi, who claimed that BJP would never win and BCs would not come to power. Dr Laxman questioned the actions of parties that had ruled the state for decades and their contributions to BCs.
Laxman accused both the Congress and the BRS of seeking to hold power within their families at the national and state levels, respectively. He stated that the BRS had expressed regret for not making such a statement. (UNI)
