PM Modi will be in Kochi for a road show.
KOCHI, JAN 16 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will arrive at the Cochin International Airport at 7 pm, will attend a 1.3 km road show from the Maharaja’s College Ground to the Guest House here on Tuesday.
In view of the Prime Minister’s two-day visit, traffic restrictions were imposed in the City where thousands of party workers reached to attend the roadshow this evening.
The Prime Minister will be staying at a hotel in Willingdon Island. He will leave for Guruvayoor Sree Krishna temple by helicopter on January 17 morning.
Modi will reach Guruvayur temple at 0800 hrs and offer prayers. After a 20 minute stay in the temple, he will attend former BJP MP Suresh Gopi’s daughter’s wedding, just outside the temple.
Later, he will leave for Thriprayar, just 25 km away, to offer prayers at Sree Ram temple. He is expected to visit the temple at 10.30 am. This is his second visit to Guruvayur since taking over as Prime Minister, the first one on June 8, 2019.
Modi’s visit to Thriprayar temple assumes significance in the wake of the consecration ceremony at Sree Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
From there, Modi will leave for Kochi to inaugurate the international ship repair facility and dry dock of the Cochin Shipyard at 12 noon. He will also inaugurate the LPG Import terminal of the Indian Oil Corporation.
Later, he will also address a meeting of office bearers of Shaktikendra, BJP’s booth level organisational committee, at Marine Drive before leaving for Delhi.(UNI)
