PCC general secretary Ramesh joins N R Congress
Puducherry, Mar 6 :In a sudden development, Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee(PCC) General Secretary K S P Ramesh quit the party and joined the N R Congress late on Friday night.
Mr Ramesh met N R Congress President N Rangaswamy at ‘Appa Paithya Sami’ temple here around midnight and joined the party.
Later, Mr Ramesh clarified that since, Saturday and Sunday are “Ashtami and Navami”,he joined the N R congress in the midnight itself.
Vanniyar Protection Movement founder Thattanchavady Senthi Gounder also joined the N R Congress along with Ramesh.
It may be noted that in a bid to arrest the exodus from the Congress party, it re-allocated posts to prominent persons and thus the special invitee K S P Ramesh got the post of General secretary two days back.
However, he quit the party and joined the N R Congress.( UNI)
