Patrick Stewart, Ryan Reynolds break silence over ‘Doctor Strange’ rumours

Los Angeles, Feb 21 : Patrick Stewart and Ryan Reynolds have both gone on to break their silence over their rumoured appearance in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” as Professor X and Deadpool, respectively. Stewart was recently asked about his rumoured appearance in the film in an interview with Comic Book, though the 81-year-old played coy about his involvement in the sequel. “You know, people have been imitating my voice ever since I came on the stage 60 years ago,” Stewart told the outlet. “So, I can’t be held responsible for that.” Ryan Reynolds (45) who stars as Deadpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (ever since 20th Century Fox merged with Disney) also adamantly went on to deny the claims that he would be appearing in the film after fans noticed what they believe to be an image of the Merc with a Mouth in a poster. “I guess I’m not really supposed to say anything about that, but I’m really not in the movie,” Reynolds told Variety. However, he did end up leaving some room for doubt by adding, “I could be an unreliable narrator, but I promise you I’m not in the movie.” This however could very well be up for debate as Andrew Garfield had heavily denied that he would be featured in “Spider Man : No Way Home” as the famed webslinger. “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is directed by Sam Raimi, and the story will continue post the events of “Spider Man: No Way Home” as Doctor Strange has opened up the gate to the multiverse bringing chaos to the world. The film will release on the 6th of May, 2022. (UNI)
