Bengaluru, May 4 : Former All England Badminton Champion and his daughter film actress Deepika Padukone and other members of the family tested positive to Corona today.
While Deepika’s mother Ujjala and daughter Anisha, who are also tested positive, are undergoing home quarantine, Prakash and Deepika were admitted to hospital and are recovering.
While Deepika hasn’t issued an official statement, the news of her father’s hospitalisation was confirmed by Prakash’s friend Vimal Kumar, who is also a veteran Badminton player.
“Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala) and second daughter (Anisha), developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive. He is okay now.
All his parameters are fine, his wife and daughter are at home and he too will be hopefully discharged in 2-3 days.” Deepika and her husband Ranveer Singh were spotted at the Mumbai airport on their way to Bangalore to spend time with Deepika’s parents.(UNI)
