Chennai, Mar 22 : One more candidate of actor-politician Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), contesting the April six Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, has tested positive for coronavirus.

MNM Vice President V Ponraj, who is the former advisor to late President APJ Abdul Kalam has tested positive, party
sources said.

Ponraj is contesting from the Annanagar assembly constituency in the city.

He is the second candidate of the party to have tested positive for coronavirus. Earlier former IAS officer and MNM General Secretary Santhosh Babu, who is contesting from Velachery seat, tested positive and was undergoing treatment.

Mr Babu is continuing his campaign through online and social media platforms.(UNI)
