Kakinada, Jun 30:One person was killed and another hurt when a car dashed the motorcycle they were riding near a petrol bunk along the highway on the outskirts of Samalkot 25 kms from here on Wednesday, police said.

The Samalkot police who registered a case identified the deceased as Veerraju (36) and his son Harinath (16) from Kakinada drivers colony .

They were on their way to a relative’s house in Samalkot when the mishap occurred. The injured was rushed to hospital.

The body was shifted to area hospital Peddapuram for postmortem. Search is on for the car driver who fled away from the scene, police said.(UNI)
