CHANDIGARH, JULY 3 : Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, who contested Lok Sabha election from jail, has been granted a 4-day parole enabling him to take oath, sources said on Wednesday.
The sources said that he has been granted parole on certain conditions and Dibrugarh (Assam) jail officials have been informed about the same.
Earlier, Faridkot MP Sarabjit Singh Khalsa informed on “X” that he had a meeting with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today and was told that Amritpal Singh will be taking oath on July 5.
Controversial preacher and ‘Waris Punjab De’ Chief had contested and won the election from Khadoor Sahib seat. He, along with his supporters, was arrested and slapped with NSA last year in Ajnala police station attack case and shifted to Dibrugarh jail.(UNI)
