New Delhi, May 8:Union Power Ministry’s PSU National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) Limited has carried out large-scale covid-19 vaccination drives for employees of Ministry of Power and various public sector units/ organisations under Ministry of Power in Delhi and NCR region.

The vaccination drive is being carried out for the safety of power sector personnel so that uninterrupted power supply on a 24×7 basis is ensured, the NHPC said here today.

On May 7, it organised a vaccination drive at IREDA, New Delhi in association with Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi wherein 117 employees (between the age of 18 to 44) from Ministry of Power, NHPC, IREDA, PFC, NSPCL, NTPC, MNRE, NEEPCO and CEA received their first jab of Covishield vaccine.

The vaccination drive has been further extended till today to enable vaccinations of more employees.(UNI)
