New education policy soon to come in force

Shimla, Mar 6 :Himachal Pradesh Government decided to implement the new education policy framed by the union Government by making compulsory examination of third, fifth and eighth grades.
Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur who holds the portfolio of finance said this for the 2021-22 budget estimates in the Assembly that top hundred chief minister scholarships would be started by those who would top in the matriculation examination. Government distributed Rs 219 Cr to provide assistance to meritorious students for helping them in various scholarships schemes.
He said that hundreds of labs would be built in the senior secondary school to increase the quality of education. Rs 63 Cr allocated for development of labs and other facilities in the school. (UNI)
