Neelu Vaghela plays Dhruv’s stepmother in “Dhruv Tara,” a Sony SAB production.
NEW DELHI, JULY 3 : Sony SAB’s popular show ‘Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi Se Pare’ has introduced a new character, Raj Rani, portrayed by veteran theatre and television actress Neelu Vaghela.
This addition comes as the story transitions to a new century, where the protagonists, Dhruv (Ishaan Dhawan) and Tara (Riya Sharma), are stranded in the 19th century due to a malfunction in their time travel vortex.
Neelu Vaghela’s character, Raj Rani, is not the stereotypical evil stepmother but a positive figure who loves her stepchildren, Dhruv and Rishiraj, and her own daughter Kanchan equally.
She is depicted as a supportive mother and a devoted wife, often protecting Dhruv from his father’s wrath.
Commenting on her role, Neelu Vaghela said, “Stepping into the character of Raj Rani has been a remarkable experience for me. She is a unique blend of strength and warmth and playing a positive character who genuinely cares for all her children is refreshing. Raj Rani’s love and support for Dhruv, Rishiraj, and Kanchan, as well as her dedication to her husband, make her a character with great depth and relatability. I am thrilled to bring this inspiring and heartfelt role to life, and I hope the audience will connect with her as much as I have.”(UNI)
