NCP to protest over rising LPG cylinder price
Mumbai, Jul 2 : The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Today embarked on a two-day statewide agitation in Mah arashtra against the rise in prices of LPG cylinders and fuel, NCP state president and Water Resources Minister Jayant Patil said here.
Mr Patil, in a release, stated that the common man was facing the brunt of increase in gas cylinder price and that party will not remain silent in this regard.
The outcry of the general public should be brought before the government, he said appealing the people to resort to agitation.
The Centre has created a huge crisis in the budget of housewives, by suddenly increasing a cylinder price of Rs 25. The general public will have to pay Rs 809 for 20 days and around Rs 1,500 per month for a cylinder.
Mr Patil clarified that agitation will be held in districts and talukas of the state.(UNI)
