Navaratri idols from Padmanabhapuram Palace brought to Kerala capital
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 5 :The Navarathri idols from Padmanabhapuram Palace that were taken out in a procession from Thuckalay of Kanyakumari district in neighbouring Tamil Nadu were brought to world famous ‘richest’ Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple in this Capital City today.
The Navarathri pooja will begin on Thursday marking the beginning of Navarathri festival celebrations.
Every year, the idols are brought here from Padmanabhapuram Palace to the State Capital during the Navarathri pooja.
The idols were taken to Padmatheertha Kulam through the traditional pathway in Chalai this evening.
The idol of goddess Saraswathi was placed at Navarathri Mandapam in Poojappura while the idol of Munnootti Nanga was taken to Chenthitta temple. The idol of Velimala Kumaraswami was placed at Devi Temple in Aryasala.(UNI)
