National Highway Industrial Corridor pending with MORTH : HP CM

Shimla, Mar 2 : The Dherowal-Nalagarh, Ramshair-Kunnahir-Shimla National Highway Industrial Corridor sanctioned by the Union Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway on September 14, 2016 was pending with the MORTH for consideration as stated by chief minister Jai Ram thakur while replying to a query raised by the Congress member Lakhvinder Rana during the question hours Wednesday. He said a detailed project report was pending with the central government since August 25, 2018 for consideration. Chief Minister further construction of the corridor would be subjected to approval of the Central govrnment.Chief Minister denied in a reply of Jagat Singh Negi of Congress that 45 foundation stone and inaugural plaques have been brought down or broken in district Kinnaur by the miscreants but police have received 15 complaint of destroying development plaques and order have been issued to the concerned departments to restore the destroyed development plaques in district Kinnaur and they would be restored soon. Chief Minister who holds the portfolio of home assured the member that on every complaints, if damage was being caused by the mischievous elements, legal action have taken against them as per rules. He informed that out of 15 complaints, FIR was registered by the police in nine cases but no case was found during the investigation in the remaining six complaints. He said out of nine registered complaints challans have been moved in the court against three people in two cases and untraced report pending in the rest seven cases. Chief Minister informed the house that about 3174 people died in various accidents in the last three years, Replying to a query raised by the Jagat Singh Negi of Congress Mr Thakur said the government is taking necessary steps through the Police Department and the Transport Department to bring down the fatalities in road accidents as 74 black spots, 1320 vulnerable spots and 2685 potential black spots have been identified in state. 47 black spots and 155 glaring spots have been identified NH and 27 Black Spots, 1165 vulnerable spots and 2685 Potential Black Spots were found by the state public works department roads. The State Government has corrected 24 black spots, 192 vulnerable spots and 2126 potential and worked to overcome rest black spots in progress. The Chief Minister said Rs 130.65 Cr were provided in the last three years under the road safety fund.The Chief Minister said three ropeways were proposed between Killar to Sach Pass, ISBT Chamba to Chaugan Ropeway and Bharmour to Bharmani Mata in Chamba district. Replying to a query raised by the member of Assembly from Dalhousie Ms Asha Kumari Chief Minister said Killar -Sach Pass ropeway would start from Bhanodi, to connect Satrundi & Saach Pass and terminate at Pregraon in Killar. Rs 1618 Cro project would be 22 km long. The DPR is already submitted to MORTH on 31st January, 2022, to provide 100 per cent funds. The ISBT Chamba to Chaugan Ropeway would start from ISBT Chamba and terminate at Chaugan in District Chamba. Rs 15.67 Cr ropeway is 210 mt. and the DPR submitted to the Advisor Planning to further take up the it with NABARD for funding the project. CM said Bharmour to Bharmani Mata Ropeway to be 2.21 km long and with estimated cost of Rs 112.00 Cr the DPR is under preparation in the final stage. He said environment clearance would be taken after approval of the DPR for funding. Chief Minister said in a reply of query raised by the Cong member Ram Lal Thakur that Bandaladhar -Lahinu Paragliding site in Bilaspur district of Himachal was notified by the tourism department but the connecting pathway and site could not developed due to unavailability of the budget for this project. Industry Minister Vikram Singh replying to a query, another query of Rakesh Jamwal said ten boat routes were identified between Kolddam and Tattapani to facilitate the people to move across the dam. He said these routes have been identified between (1) Ahan to Kol (2) Bei to Sui (3) Kayan to Sui via Boi(4) Sui to Neri Roparu ( 5 ) Via Boi Kyan to Jartu (6) Shakra to Kayan (7) Chaba to Saraur and (8) Tattapani Saga Kyari . (UNI)
