Naidu lauds Covid services by doctors

Vijayawada, Jul 1 : Telugu Desam Party National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday recalled the supreme sacrifices and unforgettable services being rendered by the doctors in their capacity as the front line warriors in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
Mr. Naidu extended his heartfelt greetings to all the doctors on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day.
He extolled their services, saying that the doctors were risking their own lives in order to save the common public from the virus threat.
The TDP Chief said Doctors were playing a key role in saving people’s lives during such calamities. This was why the doctors were looked upon as gods in accordance with the saying ‘Vaidyo Narayano Hari’.
In a statement here, the former Chief Minister demanded that the Government should provide all the necessary basic safety equipment to the doctors and frontline warriors involved in the battle against the dreaded virus.
At a time when the whole world was showering flowers on doctors in recognition of their selfless services, the Andhra Pradesh Government was not even providing minimum safety equipment to the doctors in the state.
Mr. Naidu termed it as a matter of pain for everybody since the YSRCP regime was showing total negligence towards the doctors though they were working day and night to save the people’s lives. The AP Government’s attitude towards the doctors was regrettable.
Mr Naidu asserted that it was an indisputable fact that the doctors were extending their services in accordance with their professional ethics. These doctors were working hard with trust in the saying ‘Manava Seva Madhava Seva’ (service to man is service to god).(UNI)
