Mumbra murder: Police arrest 3 including housewife, paramour
            
            
        Thane, Mar 4 :The city police on Tuesday arrested three persons including a housewife and her paramour on the alleged charges of brutal killing of her husband who was a hurdle in their love affair the police said on Wednesday.
A police officer from the Mumbra police station told this correspondent that it was a couple of days back the body of the victim identified as Ahmed Shaikh, 35 was found with his throat slit below a bridge in Mumbra.
The police then registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and took up the probe.
During the probe it was revealed that the wife of the victim was in love with a rickshaw driver and she along with him and her sister hatched a conspiracy and eliminated him.
The arrested were Mohammad Nafis Shaikh 33, is auto driver, Rukhsar 30 is wife of deceased, Reshma Sayyed 28 sister in law of deceased.
The officer said that preliminary probe revealed that the victim got to know about the affair between his wife and the rickshaw driver and the trio hatched a conspiracy to eliminate him as he was a hurdle in their relationship.
It was on the wee hours of 27 February , the victim was taken to an isolated place where rickshaw driver and the victim boozed for sometime. The victim then somehow got uneasy and ran towards the nullah. There the accused attacked him and slit his throat and even stabbed him number of times and fled away. The police worked on the technical analysis and intelligence input and arrested the rickshaw driver first who lead the police to the two others who were subsequently arrested the police said.
